Hide the selected columns in Excel: Ctrl+0 (Mac: Cmd+0)

Drill: Hide the helper columns. Free, no sign-up.
What it does and when to use it
Ctrl+0 hides the columns of the selection. Helper columns stay in the model and out of the print. Ctrl+9 hides rows the same way.
The common mistake
Hiding a column that a formula on another sheet points at, then forgetting it exists. Group it instead (Alt+Shift+Right) so the outline shows there is something there.

Questions
Why does Ctrl+0 not work?
Some operating systems and browsers use Ctrl+0 for zoom. Use Alt, H, O, U, C instead, or change the system shortcut.
