Drill: Totals for two columns. Pro drill. Twenty-five drills are free.

What it does and when to use it

Alt+= writes the first SUM, Tab confirms it and moves right, Alt+= writes the second. Three presses for two totals. Selecting the whole blank row and pressing Alt+= once also works.

The common mistake

Pressing Enter after the first AutoSum, which moves down instead of right.

Questions

Why Tab instead of Enter?

Enter moves down after confirming; Tab moves right. Use whichever direction the next formula goes.

Learn it by pressing it
